This time I have the pleasure to show you another one of my jobs. Painting the Cone Tio
this character is the mascot have a picture of a business dedicated to selling tacos delicious roasted suckling pig, of course that sounds like Uncle Cone, when for a ride walking around town Madero Tamaulipas not forget to visit ........ if it looks commercial, but is a personal recommendation.

Well, we started preparing the surface to be painted, removing all kinds of impurities that could damage the paint finish. With prepsol degreased mold release wax residue and wash with powdered detergent and water. After settling down the surface with fine sandpaper to those used with water.

Once applied surface a protective layer of white first universal, it helps the paint hold better on the surface.
and shine better.

the automotive acrylic enamel paint is diluted with lacquer thinner. if it deals standart breaks thinner enamel brightness and durability,

try to start with lighter colors to go gradually raising the tone of the same and thus achieve better results in the blending or gradient color.

Also here is almost all the work freehand, taking care not to smear the other colors, I occupy a very simple gravity gun with folding glass with a 5mm exit point. to 35 lbs air outlet. these guns are a good substitute as airbrush painting large surfaces and carefully refers, apart from being very economical, a good alternative for me.

course as a thin line for details it is best to use the airbrush, as in the area around the eyes and mouth of this figure of Uncle Cone.

I paint the logo of the classic advertising deal with masking tape, carefully with a cutter or cutting precise letter by letter.

to finish the logo details the outlines of a few letters of a round brush hagocon long thin hair, those who are concerned for labeling.

finished painting, I apply several coats of clear polyurethane to give a glossy finish, also to protect colors discoloration from UV rays of the sun.

I always recommend to properly prepare the surface to paint and apply clear polyurethane. so at least 3 years they lasted almost intact colors.
